Hi Everyone,

Please note the following key dates for this year’s scout post:

Saturday 2nd December

Creigiau Post Sort at HQ from 9.00a.m. – 1.00p.m.

Monday 4th December

Deadline for People to Post Stamps: 10.00p.m.

 

Tuesday 5th December

Creigiau Post Sort at HQ from 6.00p.m. – 9.00p.m.

Monday 11th December

Post for delivery in our area to be collected from HQ, Creigiau from 5.00p.m. onwards

Sunday 17th December

Last Day for delivery of post

2017 AGM

2017 AGM  at Creigiau Scout HQ on Tuesday 11th April 2017, 6.45p.m.-7.15p.m.

Dear Friends, Please note the above date and time for our 2017 AGM where you will have the opportunity to hear a little more about what we have been doing within the Group over the last 12 months, and what our plans for the forthcoming year are.

The agenda is as follows: 1. Welcome, Introduction & Housekeeping 2. Apologies for absence 3. Agree minutes of 2016 AGM 4. Receive and adopt the Financial Statement & Report for 2016 financial year 5. Receive the GSL’s Nomination of Group Chairman 6. Election of Group Treasurer 7. Election of Group Secretary 8. Accept the opting-in of section leaders onto the Executive Committee 9. Appointment of the Independent Examiner for the coming year 10. Elect any other members to the Executive Committee 11. Adoption of the Group Constitution

Many thanks to all the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Leaders & Parents who helped make our end of year BBQ at HQ a real success on 11th July.

Can we also take the opportunity to thank everybody who has supported the group throughout this scouting year. We are looking forward to another action-packed year come September!

Suspicious Emails

Over the past few days we have been alerted that a number of suspicious emails from bogus individuals with an email address ending with @creigiau.org.uk have been received.

We can confirm that:

  • We have not sent ANY such communication
  • Our email server has been the subject of a security breach
  • The police are aware and are investigating accordingly
  • Extra measures have been taken to minimise the chances of any similar abuse in the future

Please disregard such emails and delete them fully straight away. Never open any accompanying attachments.

Can we reassure everyone that we believe any confidential information held in trust remains secure.
